Testing completed on the EV charging station range

The first three Ukrainian-built Supercharger models, rated 60 kW and 75 kW for fast charging of electric vehicles, have passed testing and been handed over to the customer. They were designed and built by NPP "VEL".

The electric-vehicle market is growing ten times faster than the market for conventional cars. Germany, Norway and the Netherlands plan to phase out internal-combustion vehicles, and in Japan the number of charging points recently overtook the number of filling stations. Ukraine is keeping pace. Charging infrastructure continues to spread, so that EV owners can move freely not only around the city but along highways and motorways without fear of stopping halfway. Supercharger stations charge a vehicle in 30 to 45 minutes. In today’s electric cars the charging rate is limited by how much current the batteries can absorb without harming their reliability.
The Supercharger reads from the vehicle the maximum current its batteries can accept and sets the charging current accordingly. The driver only has to connect the car to the station with the dedicated connector.
