Multi-start microcoil winding unit

A machine for winding microcoils from fine wire has been commissioned. It makes stainless-steel coils from wire of 0.05–0.3 mm diameter, producing coils of 0.2 to 1.2 mm diameter.

The coils are made in lengths of up to 1 metre. They are used mainly as parts of flexible medical electrodes.

The multi-start microcoil winding machine was designed and built by NPP "VEL".

NPP "VEL" makes microcoils of various sizes to order, in materials with a wide range of properties. Coils can be supplied wound on a core.
